Hunt shares a bunch of her workout secrets on her blog. In this post, she revealed that she actually enjoys working out. "Exercise has always been my happy place, giving me time to focus on myself and start every morning with a victory. Setting new goals and hitting milestones is key when exercising, by working on yourself to a better person both physically and mentally. Exercise release endorphins, also known as happy hormones – which are the chemicals that are associated with feeling happy and reliving pain."
After suffering an injury, Hunt shared this blog post talking about her recovery. She says that she tried to stay grateful after this injury. "I have so much I'm thankful for. I'm grateful for a healthy strong body. There are still so many ways I can move and exercise beyond running. I'm thankful for the peace of knowing there is a legitimate issue since I blamed myself for months while struggling through long training runs because of the pain. I'm optimistic that I can get it healed and hopefully be back to running and building to a half later this year."
One thing Hunt likes to do is circuit train. She shared one of her circuits in this blog post. "Circuit details (*you'll need a resistance band and a stability ball): ~ Banded Donkey Kicks. ~ Banded Single-leg Glute Bridge. ~ Banded Glute Bridge. ~ Banded Pulse Squats. ~ Reverse Hip Raises, on a stability ball. *Do 15-20 reps for each exercise and repeat the circuit 3 times. Always remember control + form over speed!"
Another thing Hunt does to stay in shape is high-intensity interval train. She shared this blog post of her favorite HIIT circuit. "Circuit details: ~ Squats. ~ Criss-cross Squats. ~ Side-to-side Jump Overs. ~ Mountain Climbers. ~ Bicycles. ~ Tricep Dips + Glute Bridge. ~ Inchworm + Push-up. ~ Spider Monkeys. *Do each exercise for 45-60 seconds + Repeat the circuit 3 times. When Hunt travels, she makes sure to still work out. She shared her secrets for doing so in this blog post. "When you're out of town, it can be hard to stay in your normal workout routine. I encourage you to plan some form of daily exercise. It can be something as simple as walking to go get coffee or exploring the property you are staying at. You can also incorporate activities such as swimming in the pool or even visiting the hotel gym."
