July 2024 · 1 minute read

National Lampoon has announced that it will return to the live entertainment world with a reworked version of the off-Broadway sketch comedy play Lemmings, which helped to launch the careers of comedians John Belushi, Christopher Guest and Chevy Chase.

The show is called the "National Lampoon Lemmings Comedy Troupe Presents America 2.0" and was described by National Lampoon as "a 90-minute rock-and-roll rollercoaster of live multimedia and sketch comedy… It's SNL without the commercial breaks or bad musical guests! The ten-performer troupe serves up a hysterical evening of musical parodies, comic characters, and incisive social satire."

Jay Leggett and Scott Rubin are helming the project and the show features the comedic talents of Adam Devine, Anders Holms, Annie Savage, Blake Anderson, Jen Cain, Jillian Bellcq, John Moody, Mark Gagliardi and Sitara Falcon. Writers are Haley Mancini, Mike Rosolio, Andy Goldenberg, Pip Lilly and Beth Dover.

A fall tour is currently shaping up, geared towards colleges, casinos, and theaters and will kick off on Sept. 19 in Los Angeles. For more information on booking, contact Geary Rindels. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
