Rex Harrison was an English actor. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for My Fair Lady (1964).

Rex was the son of Edith Mary (Carey) and William Reginald Harrison, a cotton broker. He had a son, actor and singer Noel Harrison, with his first wife Noel Margery Colette-Thomas; and a son, novelist and dramatist Carey Harrison, with his second wife, actress Lilli Palmer. His granddaughter, through Noel, was actress Cathryn Harrison. Rex was married to actress and comedian Kay Kendall, until her death, and to Mercia Tinker, until his death.

Rex’s paternal grandfather was Thomas Harrison (the son of Thomas Harrison and Eliza Rogerson). Eliza was the daughter of Elizabeth Butchard.

Rex’s paternal grandmother was Sarah Dulley (the daughter of William Dulley and Sarah Mee). William was the son of David Dulley and Mary Everitt.

Rex’s maternal grandfather was Eustace Carey (the son of The Rev. Eustace Carey and Esther Cooke). Rex’s grandfather Eustace was born in Camberwell. Rex’s great-grandfather The Rev. Eustace was the son of Thomas Carey and Mary Goodman. Esther was the daughter of Edward Cooke and Rebecca Hurn.
