You likely won't find Sonja sweating profusely at the gym. "I'm not a maniac at working out," she told The Lookbook, via Bravo. "I always think that's strange." Instead, she likes going on walks around New York City or finding activities to do with friends. "I like social sports, so if I can play a little tennis with Luann [de Lesseps] or do yoga, I'm very happy to do that."

After dropping a bunch of pounds, Sonja revealed that it had as much to do with her mind as her eating habits and exercise. "I had to go to the desert," she said about her experience at the We Care Spa in Desert Hot Springs, California. "And get connected with my spiritual side." She added while on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen: "I'm doing what I usually do after I wrap a big season of RHONY. I am detoxing."

While at the spa she went on a strict cleanse. "No sugar, no white food, no gluten," she said. "Actually I'm only juicing right now. I'm doing colonics. I'm taking cinnamon, cloves, garlic: everything to kill everything and keep my immunities up. Lots of green juice."

During a kitchen tour with Us, Sonja revealed a few foods and condiments she can't live without. One of them? "Hot sauce keeps your metabolism up and it kills your appetite," she revealed.

Like so many stars, Sonja prioritizes hydration. She loves water with lemon, keeping two pitchers of H2O infused with lemon, mint, or basil in her fridge. She added that she downs "six to eight" glasses of water a day,

Sonja is also a fan of a certain tart beverage. "Sour cherry juice is known to help you sleep, it's very calming and it cuts down on uric acid," she told Us about the compound that the body produces when drinking alcohol, leading to inflammation. "If you hang out with a party group like mine, sometimes it's not a bad idea."

Sonja loves exercises that stimulate her brain. "I like that mind-body connection that I get when I'm in a more spiritual state, whether it's doing Zumba 'cause I'm out of my body dancing or the yoga or the Pilates," she told The Lookbook. "Aim to find active ways to manage your stress. Inactive ways to manage stress — such as watching television, surfing the internet or playing video games — may seem relaxing, but they may increase your stress over the long term," says the Mayo Clinic. "And be sure to get plenty of sleep and eat a healthy, balanced diet. Avoid tobacco use, excess caffeine and alcohol, and the use of illegal substances."
