LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced an officer was arrested earlier this week.

On Thursday, LVMPD Officer Brandon Pierce was arrested and booked into the North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center on suspicion of felony child abuse.

Pierce has been employed with LVMPD since 2023 and is assigned to the Detention Services Division, South Tower Bureau.

According to the department, Pierce will be placed on suspension of police powers with pay pending further investigation.
