Stefanos Tsitsipas, the World No. 4, was about to serve Ben Shelton during their Cincinnati Open match when the game was interrupted due to a buzzing sound which was concerning Stefanos Tsitsipas. He was astonished and complained to the umpire that a member of the audience was simulating a bee.

This was the first time that he had ever experienced such a thing. Tsitsipas, who was visibly upset when this incident took place, requested the umpire to remove the person from the audience so that he could focus on his game.

He approached the umpire and informed him that “there’s a person imitating a bee behind me.”

He added, “It’s a buzz right before I serve. Do you think that’s okay?” The tennis professional then proceeded to make his way toward the group of supporters to identify the source of the bizarre sound. He spoke to them for a split second before going to the umpire and starting to complain once more.

He further added, “It has never happened in my career. I know they’re supporting Shelton. It’s the lady over there; I want her out. She needs to go.” After that incident, a lady in the audience apologized for her behavior, and a frustrated Tsitsipas eventually strolled to a 7-6, 7-6 triumph.

Will Stefanos Tsitsipas defeat Hubert Hurkacz?

With his victory over Shelton in straight sets, Tsitsipas swiftly advanced to the third round, setting up a matchup with Polish star Hubert Hurkacz in the following round. Tsitsipas and Hurkacz have competed against each other a total of nine times, with Tsitsipas winning seven of them.

Hurkacz has been losing quite early in tournaments throughout the year, so it will be interesting to see if he can win his second title of the season and move up in the rankings. On the other hand, Tsitsipas has been doing admirably in this tournament all year and has a good chance of winning in straight sets despite his bizarre second-round incident, which confused viewers.
